On Saturday 8th March, members and volunteers from Warnadoone Ski Boat Club got to work cleaning up the river mouth at their launch site. This was inspired by an “Adopt a River” initiative.

Approximately 12 club members including NDSAA President, Anton van den Berg and seven volunteers, along with 3 permitted and private vehicles and two tractors went down to clear the rubbish and debris from the riverbank.

Bin bags and debris were loaded onto the trailers and all the rubbish was collected in the parking lot below the club house with help from the municipality. The municipality will be removing the waste from the car park. This was a great combined effort and the results speak for themselves. After the clean up, the team were supplied with wors rolls by a generous sponsor. Thank you Warnadoone for your efforts in helping to clean up our river systems and conserve all marine life for future generations.
